Information about the Conference GOALS (i) To promote general discourse and inter-cultural dialogue among the various peoples of the world with a view to promoting understanding and encouraging the Black race to aspire to greater heights in an increasingly inter-dependent world; (ii) To invite the attention of the world to the rich cultural heritage of the Black race and opportunities for greater attainments; (iii) To invite the attention of the Black race in the Diaspora and indeed all Black people in the world to the rich cultural heritage of the Black race with a view to assisting them to understand and appreciate better historical perspectives on their past, present and future; (iv) To show-case the huge potentials of the culture and tourism sector in Osun State, widely believed to be the cradle of the Black race. Osun State is lucky to harbour several ancient settlements as well as works of arts and crafts. The State is the foremost repository of Yoruba customs and traditions. (iv) To bring the Black race back to their roots to identify with their brothers and sisters in the cradle of the Black race. (v) To visit places of interest and participate in the annual Osun Osogbo festival, celebrated in a setting listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site |
